Onions are famous to make yellow dye. While you can easily go to an onion patch, you can farm your own.

Steps

  1. Acquire a level 5 farming.
  2. Travel to one of the allotment patches.
    • South of Falador (the only non-member patch)
    • North of Catherby
    • North of East Ardougue
    • Between Port Phasmatys and Canifis
  3. Rake the patch. Allow your character to rake all the weeds out of the patch.
  4. Add compost to the patch. Supercompost achieves a higher successful yield and helps the item from plant disease.
  5. Plant 3 onion seeds. Use the seeds from your inventory on the treated patch.
  6. Water the patch, when needed. Use a watering can on the patch during the growth intervals (8 minutes each).
  7. Harvest the onions after 40 minutes of planting.

Tips

  • Pay the nearby farmer a sack of potatoes to watch over your patch. Farmer payment will ensure that your allotment will successfully grow and be in complete health, even if you are logged off for quite some time.Thanks!Helpful0Not Helpful0
  • After harvesting the onions, you can drop them in a nearby compost container. You will only need 15 items to fill the bin to make compost.Thanks!Helpful0Not Helpful0
