Cream cheese can be beautifully matched with anything when it comes to desserts. The pumpkin puree in this recipe creates a creamy texture, while combining the two ingredients together makes for a natural bliss that can be enjoyed for breakfast, dessert, or on any other time you choose. Here is how to make pumpkin cream cheese swirl bread.

Steps

  1. Combine the pumpkin, brown sugar, 3 eggs, flour, butter, milk, baking powder, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Mix the granulated sugar, cream cheese, and 1 egg in a medium bowl.
  3. Grease a 9" x 5" (23 x 13cm) bread loaf pan and dust it with flour.
  4. Layer a thin amount of the pumpkin mixture on the bottom of the loaf pan.
  5. Add about half of the cream cheese mixture on top.
  6. Cover the cream cheese with another layer of pumpkin.
  7. Add and swirl the other half of the cream cheese into the pumpkin.
  8. Completely cover and top off everything with the remaining pumpkin.
  9. Bake at 350ºF/180ºC for 1 hour.
  10. Remove from the oven. Allow to cool before serving.

  • 1 cup (220g) brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) milk
  • 5 tablespoons (70g) butter
  • 2 3/4 cups (345g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 8 oz (227g) cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup (70g) granulated sugar
