How to Make Butternut Squash Marmalade
This butternut squash marmalade recipe will add an alternative boost to your breakfast table. It goes exceptionally well with toast and butter.
Steps
-
Prepare the marmalade. Heat a large saucepan over a medium heat.
-
Put the chunks of butternut squash into the saucepan. Add the sugar, orange juice, lemon juice, water, and the cloves.
-
Bring the marmalade to a boil. Then lower the heat and simmer gently, stirring occasionally, until the liquid has evaporated.
- It will take about forty-five minutes until the squash is totally cooked.
-
Remove the cloves. Remove the cloves and stir vigorously to break up the squash. Now take the pan off the heat.
-
Jar the marmalade. Transfer the marmalade to a clean glass jar while it is still hot. It will last for several months if stored properly.
