How to Enjoy Lentils
Lentils taste ridiculous when they are eaten only boiled. Here is a recipe that I picked up from a TV show that uses lentils in a crafty method to bring in the infusion of taste and aroma.
Steps

Fry the potatoes and carrots in a casserole along with the bay leaves and garlic(for a few minutes) but don't brown them.

Add the stock and constantly stir. After 2 minutes add the Lentils and take out the bay leaves.

Stir on low heat and boil the whole thing.

Use a blender to completely blend the carrots, potatoes and lentils to a rather thick consistency.

Stir and add the chicken and and the prawns.

Check the seasoning, add salt pepper (and paprika if you wish).

Serve with goat cheese and garlic bread.

Finished.
Ingredients
You will need the following ingredients:-
- 1 - 2 Carrots peeled and diced
- 2 potatoes peeled and diced
- 3-4 cups of stock(chicken or vegetable will do)
- olive oil for frying
- 2 cloves of garlic crushed
- chicken breasts skinned and halved
- prawns descaled and halved longitudinally
- 75g Red lentil(or as we like to call it Masoor Dal)
- salt and pepper for seasoning
- Bay Leaves(optional)
- paprika(optional)
Tips
- This is just a basic recipe and could be changed according to one's taste.
- Addition of different/more spices are recommended but not mandatory.
Warnings
- Be sure not to overcook the garlic else the whole soup might taste bitter.
