Love candy corn and can’t seem to part with it once Halloween is over? Celebrate your love of this sweet confection by creating candy corn-inspired mason jars you can keep and display all year round.

  1. Select mason jars. You’ll need to make sure the jars are completely clean before painting them so wash with a mild dish detergent and warm water. Rinse well and then dry thoroughly.
  2. Paint a base coat of white, covering the entire jar. Even though you will be layering colors the base coat will keep your layers even.
  3. Add orange layer toward the lower portion of the jar. The bottom will be covered with yellow paint so coat the middle, lower section with orange. Leave a faint mist of orange on top and bottom (so the section does not have to be precise).
    • Allow orange coat to dry and then add another coat. Allow to dry completely before moving onto the next step.
  4. Spray yellow paint along the bottom of the jar and underneath. Cover the entire bottom portion and blend into the bottom portion of the orange. As with the orange layer, allow the yellow to dry and then add another coat.
  5. Finished.

  • Although unnecessary, you can add more white paint around the top to solidify the colors.
  • Fill with candy corn and add the lid and a bow to give as a gift (especially to a candy corn lover).
