Norwex cloths are a great addition to any home, especially when it comes to spring cleaning! With a Window Cloth by your side, you’re ready to clean all the windows and glass surfaces in your home to buffed perfection! All you need is water and a little elbow grease to have your Norwex Window Cloth functioning at maximum efficiency. You can also use the Norwex EnviroCloth to add an extra layer of sparkle to your cleaning process. All Norwex cloths are easy to wash, and can be cleaned with a normal washing machine cycle or some running water.

Using the Norwex Window Cloth on Glass Surfaces

  1. Spritz the glass with water. Take a spray bottle filled with cool or lukewarm water and lightly mist the glass surface or mirror. Don’t use too much water—the Window Cloth only needs a little bit of moisture to buff and clean any streaks off of glass.
    • If you want to do a more thorough cleaning, start by wiping down the surface with a damp EnviroCloth.
    • You don’t need to use a special glass cleaner, since Window Cloths can disinfect areas with just water.
    • Window Cloths can also be used on chrome, crystal, and stainless steel.
  2. Fold the Window Cloth in half twice so it looks like a small square. Take the cloth and fold it lengthwise so the material resembles a square shape. Next, make the cloth more compact by folding it in half again. Folding the cloth makes it easier to manage throughout the cleaning process.
  3. Clean off the surface with a Norwex Window Cloth using long strokes. Take a regular Norwex Window Cloth and dry off the edges and corners of the windows.. Use long, straight strokes to ensure that all the water is gone from these hard-to-reach places. Go over these spots more than once, if needed.
    • Make sure that the cloth is flat whenever you use it, or else the microfibers won’t be as effective.
  4. Buff away any remaining moisture with long wipes. Polish the center of the window in the same way that you dried the edges and corners. Using broad, vertical strokes, work from left to right or right to left as you dry and buff the remainder of the window.
    • Check to make sure there’s no leftover moisture on the glass when you finish wiping.

Keeping the Window Cloth Clean

  1. Start a normal wash cycle with mild detergent and cold water. Pour less than 0.25 cups (59 mL) of mild detergent into the washing machine. Choose a light or normal spin speed with cool or cold water when you go to start the load. For extra security, place your Window Cloths in a mesh laundry bag before sticking them in the washing machine.
    • Don’t use bleach or fabric softener, as these will damage the material.
    • You can also use a washer to clean your EnviroCloths.
  2. Dry your Window Cloth in the dryer with Norwex dryer balls. Remove your window cloths from the mesh bag before transferring them to the dryer. Norwex makes special dryer balls that work as fabric softener for the microfiber material without damaging it in the process. Add these balls to the machine before starting a normal drying cycle at a low to moderate temperature.
    • If the material is still damp when it comes out of the dryer, let the Window Cloth air-dry for a few hours.
  3. Wash your Window Cloth by hand if you’d prefer not to use a washer. Soak the Window Cloth under running water before folding it in half lengthwise. Once folded, rub both halves against one another to remove any dirt and grime. Wring any excess water out of the material before leaving it to air-dry overnight.
    • Add a tiny amount of dish soap during the rubbing process if you want your Window Cloth to be extra clean.
    • If you use your Window Cloth in the kitchen a lot, consider draping it over the oven door, or along the top of a kitchen chair. If you’d prefer to use a hook, Norwex Window Cloths also come with a hanging loop stitched into the material.

Tips

  • Don’t worry about washing your EnviroCloth and Window Cloth every time you use them. Instead, wash them after a few cleaning cycles.
  • If your cloth starts to smell bad, boil it for 10 minutes to remove any dust, dirt, and other spills from the cloth.
