Do all of your friends have boyfriends and you don't? Do you always feel left out because your friends are talking about their boyfriend and you have nothing to share? This is the article for you! Fake having a boyfriend simply and easily. All you have to do is follow the steps below and you will have an imaginary bf!

  1. Create basic facts about your boyfriend. What's his name? What does he look like? Where did you meet him? Etc, etc.
  2. Create an email for him, at Hotmail, for example. This is so that he can 'communicate' with your friends. Reply to the emails yourself.
  3. If possible, get a male friend of yours to impersonate your 'boyfriend'. Have him speak to your friends over the phone.
  4. Make up names for his family and friends.
  5. Show off the gifts 'he' bought for you ( which you actually bought yourself )
  6. Come up with a good excuse as to why he can't meet your friends. One example of this would be stating that this false boyfriend is homeschooled and that he isn't allowed to go out during the term, but the pair of you still date over holidays. You can also suggest that you have a long-distance relationship going.
  7. Stage a break up. Before you do this come up with a reason why and who initiated it. Opt for something believable.(Example: Your "boyfriend" cheated on you.) You may want to consider moping around for a few days, anxiously checking your phone for messages every ten minutes.

  • Finding a photo of some random guy online will help you describe your imaginary boyfriend. This will be useful in showing your friends what he looks like as well. Make sure the photo is not of someone well-known or famous, and preferably not on the first page of Google Images.
  • If someone finds out that you are lying, don't make excuses. Come clean, although tell them only what they already suspect. For instance, say Sally decides to make up a boyfriend and names this made-up boyfriend Joe. She talks about Joe to her friends, Emily and Kate. Emily takes Sally aside and asks her if she and Joe are REALLY dating. Sally would then, rather than telling her EVERYTHING, only tell her what she already suspected, so she would say something like, "Joe and I dated for a really long time, but I broke up with him. I'm just saying that we still go out because I don't want to date anyone else right now, so I want people to think I'm taken- please don't tell anyone so they don't try to ask me out," rather than, "No. I made up Joe." This way, Kate is still under the impression that Joe is alive, and dating Sally, and Emily still doesn't know that Joe never existed in the first place.

  • Don't change your story. Ever.
  • Before you do it, make sure it really is the right thing to do. Once you do it the lies have to compound.
  • Always be realistic. Don't say he's "a famous rockstar with a huge mansion" say something more like "he's a good guitarist and his house is big."
  • Warning! You have to be extra careful around your friends If your friends find out, you have to risk losing them all.
  • Don't bring him up and when your friends ask, "How long have you been going out?" say, "Oh, a year" because you probably would have said something by then. Once again, not realistic.
  • Don't fake for too long, people may get suspicious.
  • Also it may be a good idea to buy a boy sweatshirt to look as though your boyfriend let you wear it.
  • Don't brag about your boyfriend. This will make people doubt what you say.
  • Don't copy a pic off the internet as they might find out.
  • Don't try to get someone else at the same time.
  • Look out for horrible friends.
