You can share your YouTube activities to Facebook and Twitter. With this feature, YouTube automatically shares your activities (uploading a video, liking a video, saving a playlist and adding video to public playlist) to connected social media accounts. If you want to disable that sharing, it only takes a few clicks.

From YouTube Settings

  1. Go to YouTube. Open www.youtube.com in your web browser and sign in with your account.
  2. Open your account settings. Click on your profile picture at the top corner and click on the Gear icon (), near the Creator Studio button. Or go directly to www.youtube.com/account
  3. Go to "Connected accounts" settings. Select Connected accounts from the side panel.
  4. Disable activity sharing. Click on the Edit button from the Connect your accounts section and select Disable activity sharing from there.
    • You can also completely remove your Twitter account from YouTube by clicking on Disconnect account link.
  5. Save your settings. Click on the Save button to finish. You can always enable this feature by clicking on "Enable activity sharing" link.

From Twitter Settings

  1. Go to Twitter. Open twitter.com in your browser and sign in with your account.
  2. Open your settings. Click on your profile icon at the top bar and select Settings and privacy from the drop-down list.
  3. Open app settings. Select Apps from the left panel.
  4. Revoke access to YouTube. Hit the Revoke access button near the Google app.
  5. Done. Now YouTube can't access your Twitter account for activity sharing.

Tips

  • You can connect and disconnect your social media accounts to YouTube any time.
  • You can manage your activity sharing from Connected accounts settings, without disconnecting your Twitter account.

Warnings

  • If you revoke access to "Google" on Twitter, it will affect other Google products which were connected to your Twitter account.
