Looking to complete your Pokedex in Pokémon X and Y? Well, part of the way to do so is to migrate Pokemon from Pokémon Black, White, Black 2, and/or White 2. You'll need to follow a specific method to do so, and you'll learn about it by following this guide.

Steps

  1. Go to the Nintendo eShop.
  2. Download the Pokémon Bank application.
  3. Start the application with a copy of Pokémon X or Y in the game slot.
  4. Hit "Download Poké Transporter" at the Pokémon Bank menu.
  5. Select "Download" when prompted. You'll be taken to the download screen for the Poké Transporter application.
  6. Download Poké Transporter.
  7. Put a copy of Pokémon Black, White, Black 2, or White 2 in the game slot, and start the Poké Transporter application.
  8. You'll be asked whether you want to transfer what's in the first box of your game to Pokémon Bank. Select "Yes", and the Pokémon will be put into the Transport Box in Pokémon Bank.
  9. Put in the copy of Pokémon X or Y you used before into the game slot, and go to Pokémon Bank.
  10. Hit "Use Pokémon Bank" at the Pokémon Bank menu.
  11. Go to the Transport Box, and move the Pokémon that you want to transfer to your copy of Pokémon X or Y to one of the game's boxes.
  12. Press X or hit "Save" on the bottom screen to save and quit.

Tips

  • You need a working internet connection to use Pokémon Bank.
  • You need to have gotten the Pokédex in the save file of your copy of Pokémon X or Y before you can use Pokémon Bank.

Warnings

  • Once you've transferred Pokémon to Pokémon Bank, you can't put them back into Black/White/Black 2/White 2.
