With a few easily obtainable materials, you can make a cute little cow costume for Halloween.

Steps

  1. Draw some curvy shapes on a piece of black felt.
  2. Cut the pieces out and spray one side with spray glue.
  3. Affix to some sweatpants and a shirt to represent cow spots
  4. Cut a length of rope to represent the tail. Unravel one end to make the tail look more realistic.
  5. Blow up the glove and tie it tightly. This will represent the cow's udder.
  6. Use the white string to tie both the udder and the tail to the waist.
  7. Add some horns to your head. You could either improvise a costume hat for Vikings with horns (paint them black) or make horns from paper. If making from paper, roll into cone shapes and glue the shape into place. Paint black. Then, attach to an elastic headband and wear.
  8. Finished.

Tips

  • If you find it necessary, you may stuff the shirt with a thin towel or cotton to give the appearance of fatness. This is better if you are making the costume for someone who does not mind a little extra weight on their costume.
  • You can also give an added touch with a cow bell.

Things You'll Need

  • White sweatpants
  • Adult large or extra large size t-shirt
  • Spray glue
  • White rope
  • Scissors
  • Black felt or fake fur
  • Thin rubber glove (such as the kind for painting)
  • White string
  • White or yellow wax pencil
  • Horns - either a Viking costume hat painted black or make some horns from paper, black paint and glue with an elastic headband
  • Optional: Cotton or towel
  • Optional: Cow Bell
